学术讲座：Surviving and thriving as a new university teacher in times of change: challenges and strategies （大学新教师在变革中的生存和发展：挑战与策略）

Abstract: What are the trends in global higher education that impact teachers and learners? How do you need to change and innovate in order to survive and thrive amid these rapid changes? Does your university expect all faculty members to demonstrate productivity in teaching, research, and service? Are you under the pressure of "Publish or Perish" in academia to rapidly and continually publish academic work to sustain or further your career? How to manage the teaching-research nexus and develop research-informed teaching? How to engage students and increase your skills in the area of designing, implementing and evaluating learning activities? As an internationally recognized researcher and a winner of multiple teaching excellence awards, Professor Ting Wang will share her experiences and observations and provide insights into these questions.
